(The Court entirely confirms it and expresses surprise that anybody

could criticise the action of Counsel).

Criticises Capt. Morgan's evidence.

The incident in his evidence as regards Mr.Green is significant of his evidence as a whole.

If the witness can put Green in the wrong place by what right can his evidence be accepted of the identity of the prisoner whose face and clothes he admits he cannot identify. He admite

he lost view of the man once.

Admits Prisoner was chased by Morgan but he was preceded

by 2 men leading both Chinese. The second man took out of his

hat a revolver which he threw into the garden. He threw after he

turned into Des Voeux Road.

Calls Leung Vo.

Prisoner. Ship's cook and coolie. My last ship was Kwang Chow I left her when the strike began. When the ships stopped work I

stayed at the Hongkong & Wuchow Navigation Club. I sàgyed there

between 10 & 20 days. I then went to the country to Chan Chuen.

I stayed there from 6th 21st day of 1st moon (2nd February to 22nd February). Then I went to Canton. I passed the night there

on the 22nd February. Then I came to Hongkong by train on the

morning of the 23rd by train. I stayed at the Club.

On 24th February (the next day) I went out after 10.A.M. I came here to look for some work. I knew a man who was employed as a

coolie in the Naval tard and he told me to wait when he came out for his tiffin.
